#28- Vertical or Horizontal

 Why it Matters

• This can decide how the film is viewed and as it is right now close to all films use horizontal camera films which is never fully explained. So with my film it will be following the same concept but here is why.
  
  
  

Vertical

• Can maximize screen space generally being how tablets and smartphones are meant to take pictures. Social media encourages the use of vertical film as many of the output is better set for vertical use. Can creatively show mood or atmosphere through use of certain aspects in the scene. and can be very suitable for interviews and documentaries since it captures exactly what is wanted without the other things being shown.
  
  
  

Horizontal

• Can better replicate human view area. many film scenes are composed to be horizontal to capture all available such as landscape, groups, and even action sequences. Are coherent with what the cinemas can show the movies as they are built horizontally probably after the initial films taken. Audience have became accustomed to the horizontal format that without it might cause unease.
  
  
  

Conclusion

• When taking pictures or videos for social media vertical film will generally be accepted but when filming something as big as a show or movie providing horizontal film will always be the better way to go about making the perfect film.
