#33- Script

Image
Why is it important? sets up dialogue for the story which is planned out beforehand to give to actors that must be followed through with the film. The Script Mother- This is Unacceptable, Jake is at home. He's hurt. He's in pain. You need to find who did this. School Personnel- I understand your worries. I'll find the kids who did this. Mother- My son is still at home hurting from this incident. There needs to be action. School Personnel- ma'am Next Scene- (Older Brother) Michael- Man why didn't you say who did it (Younger Brother) Jake- *silence (Older Brother) Michael- it- Well it doesn't matter. I'll get them back I swear. I promise you.

#32- Props

Image
Need Props are needed to convey messages, show context, and support the story in general. Used Props Ice Pack- Showed that the character was injured even though it was already said and implied to fully clarify and go along with narrative. Backpacks- were important part that showed they were students, and one was even thrown off the little brother adding to action.

#31- Meet The Actors (Family)

Image
Actors Brianna Welch (Mother)- Hobbies are hanging out with friends and family. Travis Molnar (Jake/Younger brother)- Hobbies are playing video games and hanging out with friends. Caleb Molnar (Michael/Older brother)- Hobbies are video games, basketball, and hanging out with friends, Contribution Caleb- Has already took role in a few other films in acting for other students, and is the director so knows what is needed in the film and the points needed to be made. Brianna- Has created her own student film so she knows the type of acted needed for films in general so when need she gave her voice full of emotion. Travis- Little knowledge into film and acting but can listen to guides easily making him an easy actor to direct.

#30- Meet the Actors (Bullies)

Image
Overview When an actor plays a character there must be fluidity with both the stereotypes and how they address themselves. their characters have no names as there will not be dialogue with them. Tristan Smith age- 16 Hobbies- Soccer, Games, and Showers (preferably hot) Ivan age- 17 Hobbies- Track/Running Ethan age- 16 Hobbies- Playing Video games, hanging out with friends, and going to the gym Character development None have done any acting before, in which they also do not match the personality of a bully. But are able to follow director's actions and descriptions with great listening skills as bringing lighthearted joking and positivity with rest of crew.

#29- The Director (Me)

Image
Basic Info Name- Caleb Molnar age- 16 Hobbies- Basketball, Video Games, and hanging out with friends Experience Wide use of media in daily life No films made before outside of class Knows current technology information and how to use it How My Character Helps When looking at a film I see things in ways of how they are built which helps when making my own. my way of thinking is also very mood based and can display this in a film setting the atmosphere for the film whilst sharing the same feelings to the viewer.

#28- Vertical or Horizontal

Image
Why it Matters This can decide how the film is viewed and as it is right now close to all films use horizontal camera films which is never fully explained. So with my film it will be following the same concept but here is why. Vertical Can maximize screen space generally being how tablets and smartphones are meant to take pictures. Social media encourages the use of vertical film as many of the output is better set for vertical use. Can creatively show mood or atmosphere through use of certain aspects in the scene. and can be very suitable for interviews and documentaries since it captures exactly what is wanted without the other things being shown. Horizontal Can better replicate human view area. many film scenes are composed to be horizontal to capture all available such as landscape, groups, and even action sequences. Are coherent with what the cinemas can show the movies as they are built horizontally probably after the initial films taken. Audience have became accustomed to ...

#27- Narrating in Films

Image
Overview Narrating can provide context by setting the stage for the story or explain certain details, Develop characters through getting to their thoughts, emotions, and motivations, Enhances storytelling through complex plots, sets atmosphere through ton of voice or create mood with word choice, add layers of subtext, and engage the audience. Movies With Narration Goodfellas (1990) Shawshank Redemption (1994) Deadpool (2016)- no available video Aspects These contain parts influencing the story but each slightly do it in a different way, Deadpool being funny, Shawshank Redemption setting the mood, and Goodfellas starting the story. There also seems to be a theme of 1990 movies using narration but some recent examples have executed it well. Using The concept By using it at the start of the film there can be less reliance in audio of the recording and more pressure onto the voice and music. This makes it so during the initial bully seen in which audio would be a big piece it can be...

#26- Scene 5

Image
Scene Setting Desk Talk  Description The Mother and a significant figure in the school which has no contribution in the story other than this talk. Neither of the faces are shown which will help audio to be conveyed without relying on the actors. The talk will have to do with what happened and will finally give the name to the two characters with context. The mother will be stereotypically upset as she waves with hand motions that provide this. As the school figure shows to be trying to defuse the situation and state that they will find the students even though the younger brother will not speak about it. Contribution This will give the back bone for future reasoning of the story with showing background context and even having a explanation for the situation the family is in with showing how little the school will do on their own.

#25- Scene 4

Image
The Setting The Chase-  Description idea After Older brother sees bullies beating on his younger brother, he is initially shocked but then starts chasing after them where only a few shots are taken since it is not consistent with wanting a chase scene. Also it is unrealistic of a person to chase and fight three people his own size. So the chase will end with the older brother being out of breath then you can see the bullies escaping. Then the Older brother goes back to take care of the Younger brother. No info will be given here as this is mainly Action where context will be given in the scene after. Contribution This scene shows the bond between the two brothers and how much will be put up to save the other and can give reason for retaliation in the future as setting up the characters with trauma.

#24- Change up of Setting

Image
Overview Due to how the film will be displayed, the thought of a better setting for the main events to take place is needed so these are the new film spots Scene changes Corner Street - Hall Corner Driveway - Middle Hall Area New Scenes Chase through halls Desk Talk Effect on Film Though there has been a change of seen there is still the same story idea from the blogs before with similar shots being took. The two new scenes will be further explained in the next blogs

#23- Opening Scenes

Image
How its important Is a vocal point of how the rest of the movie will play out and can hook the watcher into staying for more entertainment. Research Watch mojo on YouTube had many different videos on the opening scenes as well Type Of scene energy similar to the film "The Guardians of the Galaxy" opening film is one of the most iconic ever made as it is funny, has action, and the catchy song matches with the pace set which can give resonation with the viewer.                                                                                                                                                       ...
