- A genre is a defining piece of a film based on a certain style or orientation.
- The importance of having a genre is that it can lead certain genre fanbases to your own movie through the dedication many have for them such as a horror fan wanting to watch a new horror movie because of its genre.

- Drama- Usually realistic, Emotionally Engaging, and Increased character story telling.
- Action- High stake, fast paced, and usually focused on two sides of opposition.
