Image
Meaning Color is crucial to a main part of all movies as it can tell stories, show emotion, and create the overall visual aesthetic. Examples Mood/Atmosphere- Colors can start certain emotions and moods. Color pallets establish atmospheres of the whole story and film. As an example, red and orange colors might provoke a feeling of warmth. Characterization- A color can start a story or introduce a character. Such as goldish yellowish lighting behind a hero to show they are important and glorified. Symbolism- Can show change throughout the movie between the color scheme. Such as a Character usually being surrounded by darker colors to then lighter colors by the end of film to show change such as them becoming better in some way. Such as a Bright key of importance to the story. Setting- Color can ...

#13- Stereotypes

Image
Use Stereotypes are certain norms a character follows in an arrange of movies with certain aspects that tie a character to the stereotype. Examples in my own movie Bully Stereotypes: Stereotype: Bullies are often portrayed as one-dimensional, merely malicious characters. Subversion: Explore the reasons at the back of the bully's behavior, in all likelihood delving into their own struggles or insecurities. Victim Stereotypes: Stereotype: The victim is often depicted as weak or helpless. Subversion: Develop the victim's man or woman with strengths, resilience, and agency. Show their increase and ability to triumph over demanding situations. Savior Stereotypes: Stereotype: The better determine sacrificing themselves can fall into the "savior" stereotype, in which their sole motive is to rescue the sufferer. Subversion: Give the higher parent depth and complexity. Show that they have flaws and struggles, making the sacrifice greater significant. It could be a collectiv...

#10- Roles of a Character

Image
Purpose To set up an idea for the types of characters that are in the story so I can find sufficient actors that fit the role of their character. Roles Bullies- Group of similar age people in which have dirty, mean, and or stronger characteristics. Personalities must have a consistent tone in ways that are vile to the main characters. Main Characters- Very Distinct visual aspects that represent their story and shown emotions. These characters usually have differing opinions from majority of other characters. Role Model- Having qualities that attract another character into following a certain path in which would not be normally available. Protege- Guided by the Role model whilst taking some of their standout visual characteristics and goal that will usually be followed up by the main character. Side Characters- Those that are not as memorable and do not get as much screen time compared to other roles. In which they might be present in the future usually as a non-important part to ...

#8- Character Dynamics

Image
About Will be showing the similar relationships that movie characters have to those in my film Examples Big Hero 6 (2014) - The Relationship between Tadashi (Older brother) and Hiro (Younger brother) set up for the whole story when Tadashi sacrifices himself to protect others in which changes Hiro's character in a way that makes him want to thrive to save others just like how his older brother and role model did for him. Spider-Man into The Spider Verse (2018) - The relationship between Peter Parker the Original and Miles Morales where Peter Parker is the Role Model as he trains Miles Morales to become a hero like him with many sacrifices changing Miles's mindset for future movies. Lion King (2019) - The father Mufasa and the son Simba create a relationship where Mufasa sacrifices his life in hopes of saving his young son Simba. This gives Simba a want for revenge and deepens the overall story in improving Simba. My Film Caleb the role model for his younger brother Travis fig...

#7- Sound research

Image
Objective To learn how to merge and create sound effects that can be used in Final Project Research even though it's not on the same editing platform it employs concepts that can be used throughout since its advanced knowledge on making sounds used better. Has how the sounds been made, and nothing to do with editing. Not a source that needs to be time relevant. Learned Info Needs to match edit. Needs ambience. Make variety without silent parts to sound. Background noise is needed to match story without getting in the way of original noise. Sound effects that are created, give total imaginative freedom to be used. Other items can be used to make a wanted sound.  Sounds created can be better suited for the scene than random online sounds but that doesn't mean using online sounds is bad. Conclusion Through researching the way sounds are made and how to edit them in I have reached better insight to how to apply this to the Final Project even though I still have to research more ...

#6- Video Editor Learning

Image
The Editor App VN Video Editor- Is an editing app that is useable in both mobile and pc devices. Reasoning To make sure I am using the editing app to the best of my abilities when creating the movie opening, I should research all the possibilities with using it. Research  Is main source of info as it went through all the possible options of the app and is not outdated being only some months ago at the time Had many creative ways to use software in which is also not made long ago Learned Things Frame ratio- Can change the amount of screen or the dimensions of the screen shown in which can help better show it in movie form. B Roll- Gives me the ability to add videos onto the current project so it can overlay, so things such as special effects are possible when editing it into the movie Text Animation- Is a good way to add in credits at the start. Zoom- can zoom into certain parts which can help centering the screen onto a character or item which is very big in action shots. Fx...

#5- Local Movie Theater Trip

Image
Overall Trip Idea Our class took a trip to a local movie theater to get a behind the scenes on how a movie is displayed and operated in a theater. Whilst also getting extras on how a movie is dispersed between different theaters. This was done to get a better understanding of how movies are dealt with after their creation. shows something similar to what we saw on the trip How it Relates to the making process Seeing the back of a movie theater can provide insights into things such as cinematography, lighting, and sound. In which getting a hold of these can help create more compelling scenes in a movie. Specifics Overall Cinematography - AS looking at different lenses, the person who toured us through explained that when a movie was originally sent to movie theaters if the wrong Lense was used. screen ratios such as the screen showing too little as if it was zoomed in or the movie showing too much in which there would be people not in the movie visible on the outer layers. This ex...
