Ways the film will follow this genre is by creating complex relationships in which cater to normal drama but whilst also having the relationship involved with disturbing situations in which help thriller. Also, the sound displayed will be a main factor in creating the driven suspense with a dark soundtrack at times to immerse viewer into action. The film created will be a realistic development of which would have only things that are possible in the real world to make it resonate deeper in the audience's mind.
Story Inspiration-
In the Film "Joker" (2019) A dark story is created by focusing on the main character's (Arthur Fleck's) own psychological image descending as the movie goes on by making hardships that the character goes through. These hardships make the character into what he is, as the start of the movie he could be seen as a fragile, introverted individual, in which his only goal is to care for his ill mother as he faces his own issues. By the end of the film, he embraces the chaos of his life in which his character changes to an unpredictable anarchist going for revenge. In the film the opening scene is such an important part to the story as it introduces issues and shows the characters initial mental situation as setting for how these issues may affect the main character. I want to create a similar feeling with the opening scene of a character being plagued by issues to which an important figure of the characters life gets revenge instead of himself, which is different from normal revenge films by showing the development of the main character through the protection of the important figure almost like a role model. This gives development for both the main character and role model as you can see a difference in one's composure as the main character tries to take the image of the role model, but the role model might not make the best decisions to which the main character will try to follow. This can be like how Joker is a role model to the hidden people of Gotham.

Scene inspiration-
In the film "The Karate Kid" (2010) "Dre Parker (Jaden Smith)" is getting chased by bullies to which when he is caught the bullies beat on him with many uses of action and match cuts to show the blows taken by Dre. These usually take many different angle shots to put together but come to good effect on the final product. This also requires audio to be taken separately in which might pose a problem when trying to audio match but creates more immersive visuals and diatomic sounds that could not be produced otherwise. Also, a chase that starts off the opening scene just as seen in karate kid.
This will make a hook that gets the audience to want to watch.
